A school campaign with an aim to build awareness of school children, teachers and community people

A school campaign with an aim to build awareness of school children, teachers and community people on the issue of human trafficking especially child trafficking, early marriage of children and violence against child was organized by Nari Maitree and the PCTSCN Consortium on 28 February 2018. 445 participants comprising of school children, teachers and community people took part in the campaign. The event was organized in the auditorium of Begum zubeda Azizun  High School and  collage, Rangpur. Honorable Chairperson Md. Abdul Malak and Principle of the school Md. Ataur Rahman Pramanik was present in the opening of the campaign and PCTSCN project acted as the facilitator to the entire campaign.

The campaign was divided into two sessions; discussion session and another was display session. The discussion session was specially focused on students and teachers responsibility on prevention child trafficking and a documentary on child trafficking was presented in the display session. On the discussion session a multimedia presentation had shown the participant about the information of child trafficking, Law on human trafficking, after the presentation facilitators involves teachers and students to share their knowledge and opinion regarding child trafficking, child marriage and violence against children.

The video documentary in the display session was an awareness and advocacy tool to aware mass people. Message of anti-child trafficking was thrown in the show so that the audience could easily capture the message, and in some cases responded with the facilitators.

At the end of the event Principle of the school Md. Ataur Rahman Pramanik requested to all participants to disseminate the massage to other students, family and society for prevention of child trafficking.
