Voice raising workshop with Children, young women and community people

A voice raising workshop with children, young women and community people to get NPA resourced and functional of Authority, fund and special Tribunal for combating child trafficking was organized by Nari Maitree collaboration with Morium nesa High School, Rangpur and the PCTSCN Consortium on 4th March, 2018. The event was organized in the hall room at Morium nesa High School, Rangpur Sadar, Rangpur. 52 participants from Local level administration, Lawyers, Imam, Journalist, Teacher, civil society, NGO’s, Women Leaders was participated in the workshop.

The workshop was organized to disseminate the massage for Govt. approved National plan of Action Implementation accordingly and how to raise the fund for NPA activation in National and District/division level.

The Assistant Director of NSI attended the workshop and expressed his support to the event. He said it is our country and we have a responsibility to do something for any types of crime reducing specially on child trafficking.

The Head Mistress of the school Firoza begum expressed her gratitude to arrange the meeting in her school. She said it should have continuous process and it is really alarming that Bangladesh is tier two level on human trafficking situation and Rangpur is a high risk area so we need to work together for children safety.

A multimedia presentation had shown the participant about the information of child trafficking, Law on human trafficking etc. A video documentary was shown in the event. The video documentary is an awareness and advocacy tool to aware mass people. Message of anti-child trafficking was thrown in the show. The audience could easily capture the message, and in some cases responded with the actors.

After the stage of end lawyers, local and national NGO’s and the civil society expressed their opinion regarding child trafficking, child marriage and violence against children.
